We have fantastic Ziggarrats. They are very decorated, and we take much time into our structures that we build in our beautiful country. The rivers aid us in helping us maintain our food sources. Hammurabi's Laws by Mesopotamian law code, which relied heavily on the principle of lex talionis, the "law of retaliation." Bronze Metallurgy has allowed us to successfully become a great power, and a good trader in the Mesopotamian areas. We can now make iron and bronze swords, which are much more reliable in combat, and are durable. The Wheel and shipbuilding has also supported our Babylonian societies in becoming a powerful nation.
Culture
We are a Patriarchal society, and women make their influence at ruling courts. They can actually advise kings and the governments! Some women wield great power as high priestesses, who manage the enormous estates belonging to the temples. We have developed many written cultural traditions, called cuneiform writing.
Religion
Our society is based on monotheism.

BLOG 1: Our king, Babylonian Hammurabi, who reigned 1792-1750 B.C.E., was named "king of the four quarters of the world." The Bablonian empire dominates Mesopotamia at the moment, until about 1600.
BLOG 2: Hammurabi has improved on Sargon's administrative techniques by relying on centralized bureaucratic rule and regular taxation.
BLOG 3: Instead of traveling from city to city with an army both large and hungry, Hammurabi and his successors are ruling from Babylon and stationed deputies in the territories they are controlling. And instead of confiscating supplies and other weatlh in the unfortunate regions their armies visited, Hammurabi and later rulers are instituting less ruinous but more regular taxes being collected by our officials.
BLOG 4: Because of Hammurabi, we have developed a more efficient and predictable government.
